What is Metaphysics?

The word MetaPhysics is derived from two greek words - Meta = Beyond, or after, and Physika, meaning physical = matter. So metaphysics is seen as investigating principles of reality that transcends - to go beyond a limit or range - science.
One might argue that it is philosophy, to me it simply uses philosophy to investigate these principles. One might also say spiritualists are concerned with Metaphysics, as they persue these principles, ultimately from the only means available - philosophy - systematic examination of basic concepts using thought.

So, this forum is for exploring and sharing your thoughts on the nature and/or principles of reality, and being, that cannot be pursued by any scientific means.
