Does it make a sound?

Noises are vibrations picked by our ears and processed by our brains to achieve the sound or something like that.

So, you could leave a sound recorder in the forest and nobody would be around but its designed to do the same thing. Pick up audio. So you could say it wouldn't make a sound unless someone was around to hear it, but on the other hand, what is sound if not vibrations . . .

lol Sound is vibrations... it's our ears that process them as sound I think...

So, if nobody was around to hear the tree fall, would it be silent and nothing but unprocessed vibrations, or would it make a noise?

Yes, is the law of trees falling that they cannot do so quietly.

if you are deaf, does th same thing still count in your eyes? yes when it falls you would be able to feel it through your feet or whatever but you cant hear it.

I think your barking up the wrong tree here. This argument isn't about sound, its about does something exist if theres no one around, do we create our own universe?

Which we fully agree isn't the way of things. Sound is vibrations, its our ears that process it into sound. There are other ways of looking at the question..

if you go to the woods and see a tree lying on its side(not chopped down), does that mean that it hasnt fallen because you didnt hear or see it happen?

I think the fairies did it
