Russia's invasion of Ukraine

No better place to post about mothballed Soviets than a mothballed unsane forum board.

That's pretty much what's going on, with everybody blaming Putin because he's the old Soviet running things in new Russia, but there are those other old Soviets who envision themselves resurrecting a vanquished empire and they're about as successfull as all those who attempted to resurrect antiquated imperial Rome. Finland is the newest member of NATO and there's just no putting that toothpaste back in the tube. Several Russian business leaders have wound up dead lately, and as Putin announces a mobilization of 300,000 additional troops, Russian citizens are boogieing to the borders just as Finland announces it's closing its border to Russian tourists. Putin isn't going to have much of a Russia left to rule.
